Autism and Epilepsy Connection

The connection between Autism and Epilepsy is very interesting to me. When Sarah was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 2 years old, she went through every test I could ever think of and one test was for epilepsy. We found out that she did not have epilepsy.

She was diagnosed however with partial seizures. What was causing the partial seizures the doctors did not know.

I have a friend who has epilepsy and she has a son with Aspergers. I have always thought that their was a connection between Autism and Epilepsy because they both deal with misfires in the brain.

I feel that now there is a connection between the two that people with epilepsy will be able to have more services provided to them. However I do wonder if epilepsy is now going to be considered to be on the Autism Spectrum.
