Schools and Autism

Ok, I thought that with the passing of time the attitudes schools and school teachers would have changed, but I guess I was wrong! I blogged about the padded rooms for children with Autism, now I am blogging about the injustice of excluding a child just because she has Autism from going on a field trip. What is going on here? Sarah went through this same thing 20 years ago! Nobody was listening then and apparently nobody is listening now! The least the school could have done for this mother is to get an aide to go with her child. The school is supposed to abide with the rules of NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND!!!

Please see this article about this courageous mother trying to get the same quality education that every child is entitled to!
